FrameMaker 2019 Track Edit Leaves Redlines

Howdy,

Sometimes when I use Track Text Edits and Accept and edit, it will accept the new text, but the old, deleted text remains as redlines. Any idea why this happens?

I've tried turning Track Text Edits off and on (hey, I'm using Windows), but it doesn't change anything.

Hi,

I can tell you only that I have the same problem. I find this extremely annoying! How can I complete on a document, when I cannot rely on that all tracked text is accepted or deleted?

My impression is that most of the track text edits which are not accepted with Accept All and will not be found with the Show Next icon, are in tables or table titles.

I had created a bug report on the Adobe Tracker. Please vote for this, so that this issue gets more attention!

What helps for me:

Of course first click the Accept All icon.

Select all (CTRL+A) and then click the Accept Edit icon. This accepts maybe 2/3 of my remaining track text edits.

Save as MIF with a plugin from itl. This also jumps to any existing track text edits. This way I can find them. But you need FrameScript ...

You can also save as MIF and open the MIF file with MIFBrowse and search for track text edits.

Best regards
