FrameMaker 6.0 Update Problem

I had FrameMaker 6.0p357 (Win XP Pro SP2) and was encountering the crash when attempting to ignore missing graphics. I saw the 6.0p405 XP patch that fixes this issue (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1420), but when I attempted to install the patch, I got the following message:

"Unable to update Adobe FrameMaker 6.0 Fix.

"The file on your system does not match the original Adobe FrameMaker 6.0 file expected and it cannot be updated."

I don't understand the bit about the file not matching.

Anyone else encounter this and was able to resolve it?

Thanks.

FM patches aren't cumulative, so you might try to install the patch called "fm60upd.exe" FrameMaker 6.0 Update for Windows - Multiple Language Versions first, then install p405.

Or else just reinstall FM, if you can, and then the patch(es)/updates after that.

After posting I had discovered the other patch you refer to and installed it. I still receive the message I posted when trying to install the latest patch.

And I was really hoping not to have to do a complete reinstall, but it looks like I might have to now.

Thanks!
