FrameMaker 9 keyboard mapping gone weird!

Hi,

I'm running Frame 9 (as part of TCS2) under Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac/Win XP SP3.

I've been running fine for a couple of weeks. All of a sudden my keyboard mapping has gone all weird on me. If I try to type an apostrophe (single quote) for example, I get a question mark. Other keys have swapped/changed as well.

If I run other applications simultaneously in the same environment, I do _not_ get this problem. For example, Photoshop (also part of TCS2) works as expected.

Does anyone have an idea as to what is going on?

Hope someone can help!

Ah,

I should have searched the forums more carefully first...

I had edited the maker.ini file, to change the Paste order (so stuff gets pasted as plain Text when you press Ctrl+V, rather than anything else). I made the mistake of using Wordpad, which destroyed the file's UTF-8 status.

For the time being, I have restored my original maker.ini from a backup. Once I know I have an editor that keeps the UTF-8-ness of the file, I'll try again!
