Freebie screen ruler that works with FM (on Windows)

http://www.fabsoft.com/products/ruler/ruler.html

I just came across a freebie screen ruler that seems to work perfectly with FM (including XP; don't know about Vista). Lots of customization capability (ruler height/width, scale, fonts, colors, units, vertical/horizontal display, multiple instances, "marks")

In order to display pica units, change the custom unit settings to:

Unit Size = 16
Ticks per Unit = 2
Display unit value every = 2

Doesn't seem to have any nagware or spyware, but please do your own due diligence about virus checks etc. before downloading.

Your link doesn't work and there is no sign of the ruler utility there.

Thanks, Mike. You're right. I googled for the app name which is "cruler2.exe" another link and many, many links came up on shareware sites -- none that I particularly would want to download from -- ah, but here's a link to the FTP that does work (at least as of right now):

The BitsduJour website http://www.bitsdujour.com has a half-price offer (just for today, Feb 2/09) on "Screen Calipers" by Iconico (parent of BitsduJour) http://www.bitsdujour.com/software/screen-calipers/

Not sure if the offer might only be for Windows, although one of the screenshots shows an Apple logo.

I haven't tried this app, but it does look very interesting.
