hi all... im new with framemaker files.. i have problem when generated the fm files into pdf files.. actually, i want to generate the TOC example

chapter 1: getting started... but the output show only getting started.. How can i generated the chapter 1 without change my data in fm files...

my data just have

1 (chn_chapter number)

getting started (cht_chapter title)

anyone have any idea ?

You need to check the building blocks of the paragraph style (in the paragraph designer) that you're using in the ToC - you'll probably see something like Chapter <$chapnum>: <$chapter_title>

Check the help for more info on building blocks.

hi... i wanna know "ixt_index titleTOC" whats the function of this variable actually ?

as my question before... let me give the clearly question... i wanna to make my pdf bookmarks just like first picture but

unfortunately it out just like 2nd pic.... I wanna to do like this without change anything on my fm. files...

You mustn’t type Chapter 1 as part of your “Tab and Tag” heading, but use autonumbering in the paragraph format of the heading to add the chapter numbering.
