I am a relatively new user to Frame and Structured Frame. This could fall in the "stupid user category"... My apologies in advance. I have searched the forum and cannot find any other reports.

When I select "Help Topics" under the Frame Help menu or press F1 for help in Frame, there's no response. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? Or is this a bug? Has anyone else run into it?

I have just installed CS 4 and the help topic menu entry and F1 key works in InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.

I'm stumped.

thanks again in advance.

BAEJC,

I can't duplicate this at all. The help works fine for me on FM 9.0p250. It runs on the Adobe AIR framework... I wonder if the problem is that AIR is not installed correctly on your system, although I'd think you should get some kind of warning. Perhaps Google for Adobe AIR and install it, then try the help again.

Thanks for the response.... I don't have the Air Framework. I'm simply using Frame installed on Windows XP... I'll download the trial version at home and see if i have the same behavior under win 7.0. I have a feeling this is somehow tied to my limited admin (no admin) rights on my workstation at the office.

Thanks again.

Joe, I'm thinking that any necessary software to drive the help should have been installed with Frame. But who knows, maybe something went wrong. In any case, this is all just speculation because I really don't know why it isn't working. I haven't ever heard of this issue before.

Thank you for helping. I checked my workstation and Adobe Air is not installed. That's why F1 is not working on my workstation. I also just purchased Frame for home use and installed it. There was an option about installing typical or all (paraphrasing here) features. I installed ALL features at home. Adobe Air installed and help works fine there.

Again, thanks for your help and quick response!!
