Hide composite documents in Framemaker 9

I'd like to be able to control the display of composite documents in Framemaker 9 the same as other documents, as I did in earlier versions.

That is, when the focus is on a .fm document, it occupies the whole interface and the book file is hidden.

I can collapse the book file to an icon, but the icon is always on top. It's annoying and distracting.

Any suggestions?

Check out the features of those buttons in the toolbar, which control the UI visibility and window arrangement:

The left-most button toggles the behaviour you want, I guess.
