How do I get the chapter number out of my flow and into the correct place?

Several of the chapters in my document have lost the format. I've tried importing from the chapters that are correct and it's not changing anything.  Grateful for any help..

I want it to look like this:

You probably have a specifc master page defined in your templates (other files) that is meant to be used for the first page of th document. Apply this using the Format > Page Layout > Master Page usage...
