I am moving a structured FrameMaker11 file into FrameMaker2019. The font that is currently in use, is not in the base font package of FrameMaker2019. That is fine, we will use a font that is in the new system. BUT....
When importing the file from FM11 to FM19, it askes to display the file to a font that looks similar. This works, but the settings in the file still reflect the old font from FM11. How do I convert the whole document to the new font in FM19?

Nick,
Depends on how your structured templates were configured:
Do you have the EDD?

Yes, I have an EDD.
Do you know where I change the font specificaly in the EDD? before I import it into an existing document. it mentions Fonts everywhere and im not sure what ones to change, or if I change them all to say "times new roman"? (thats the new font).

Hi Nick, within the EDD, locate the Element you're looking to modify.
Within that Element definition, you'll find text formatting rules for one or more contexts. Identify which contexts need changing, and update either the paragraph tag associated, or the font family specified in the element definition itself.
Once that's done, use File>Import>Element Definitions to import your modified EDD back into your content documents.
