How do you remove the backup files in FrameMaker 11

I need to remove the backup files in FrameMaker 11.

I’ve never seen of anyway to automagically get rid of .backup.fm files – you can manually delete them in Explorer, but they’ll just come back as you process.

There is a preference to stop them from being created, but as Jeff says, once they are created you have to manually delete them. Look for the "Automatic Backup on Save" general preference.

What we should all be wishing for is the ability to have backup copies stored in another location – that way they wouldn’t clutter up our project directories so much.
