How to insert a MathML Equation?

You all do know good old Equation Editor. However, these equations end up as graphics in published output (e.g. HTML5).

So I tried to use the new thingy Insert > MathML Equation (FM-15, 16, 17)

But I get the error message "Java run time environment (JRE) not found".

There is C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_231 on my system.

→ Why does FM not find it?

apparently not yet resolved, and being a 3rd party product,
I'm wondering if Adobe will be able to restore the as-intended functionality.
