Hello.

In our application we set printer to our internal PostScript driver and print FM files to PostScript. This works well but sometimes we got dialog with "The font information for your system has been changed".

This stops our operations and user needs to click OK to continue the process.

Is there a way how to suppress this dialog in FDK or by some FM settings?

Thanks.

Hi,

Which FrameMaker version do you have?

With 2019 you can just use Save As with or without Distiller. You can change this in the Publish pod. When you open the PDF settings, there is this option: Use Acrobat Distiller for PDF generation.

For 2019 you do not need to change the printer, when you use Save As.

With versions prior 2019 you can use the SetPrint utility to set the PDF printer only for FrameMaker:

Save As PDF had some issues many years and many versions back. Now it works reliably.

Best regards

Hello.

We use FrameMaker12 and FrameMaker10 for setPrinter. And the function we use is exacly the same as in attached link.

We are also in process of using FrameMaker 2019 64 bit so I will try print by using Save As without Distiller.

Hi hanzelko,

When you had installed FrameMaker 2019, install also all updates (Help | Updates).

There was an improvement in Save As PDF.

The current version is update 4 (15.0.4.751).

Best regards
