HTML5 search results don't hightlight FM2019

Contributor ,
Aug 30, 2018 Aug 30, 2018

In FM2017, when you clicked on a search result in HTML5, the text would highlight in the body of the document.

In FM2019, this no longer seems to occur, has anyone else seen this? Is there a new hidden setting somewhere?

I checked the following: in FM 2017 highlighting works in FM 2019 not!
I moved all scripts from the generated output template folder from FM 2017 to FM 2019 and no surprise: Highlighting of searched terms works now. Obviously, something has been changed in the js scripts!

I'm sure this will be fixed in the next patch coming in some weeks.

Has this been fixed? I can't even get the correct search results for a single word. It just gives me headings.

I tried to file this as an official bug today,

Bug window seems to just hang on 'loading form' after selecting FrameMaker.

Amitoj has this been looked at?

Amitojsingh I am running [Confidential Prerelease Information removed by Admin] right now and I can not see that the issue with search has been fixed.

And when I publish to HTML5 the search functionality is not really good. I do not get any markup of where the search terms have been found and some of my documents are pretty big, which makes search appear useless.

Is there any way I can fix this manually by editing the css for instance?

StudioSm could you please confirm the build number as when we tried with Update 3 GM build (599) it was working fine. Also search highlight will be visible if topic is opened from search result panel.

Use the check for updates feature in the help menu.  That's how I got the last patch.

Hi,

We have build 603 as GM. Can you please install that build and try again. Also search highlight will be visible only if topic is opened from search result panel.

Thanks

Hi,

What happens, when you click on Updates in the Help menu? (That's how I got the update.)

This should check, if you have the latest update and download and install it.

The update is not yet on the Downloads page:

https://supportdownloads.adobe.com/product.jsp?product=22&platform=Windows

The fixed issues are here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/framemaker/kb/fixed-issues.html

The fix to highlight search results worked for me only, after I deleted all Adobe cookies.

Best regards

Winfried
