Have you tried inputting the topic names in File Info?

thanks for taking the time to answer! that would only work if I had one topic per framemaker document. as it is, I have about 20 topics per framemaker document.

[sidebar: It took me a week to figure out why I couldn't post to this thread. It was the apostrophe in my username. Major eyeroll, Adobe Community.]
ANYWAY, the problem seems to be slightly different to what I originally posted.
It's not that the filenames are being shown in the search results, it's that non-ASCII characters, which were escaped from filenames to avoid problems with integrating the online help, are not properly encoded again for display.
Example: a topic has the heading "Meine Lesebestätigungen". Because I have set the topic naming scheme to <$paratext_no_num>, the HTML file for the topic is called "Meine_Lesebesttigungen-e5b.htm". In the HTML5 output, the heading is displayed correctly in the content AND in the generated table of contents, but if you search for "lesebestätigungen", it is displayed in the search results as "Meine Lesebesttigungen-e5b".
Even this behaviour is inconsistent, however. Our product name contains a slash, and the slash is omitted in the table of contents.
None of these problems existed when I generated HTML5 with my previous version (I think it was 15). The two screenshots below show the same help topic in my previous release version and with the current output.
Please help! or if anyone knows that secret e-mail address where you can send technical issues, please share!

Have a look in the Tracker (https://tracker.adobe.com/) to see if this has already been logged as an issue; if not, prepare a small sample and submit a ticket to the FM folks.
