Icons For Inserted Objects

I am inserting a video by using File - Import Object - Create from file. I am linking it then selecting - Display as icon. I select change Icon. If I select from file - then select an icon that I have downloaded from the web - it does not display that icon. If I create an icon from a graphic I have (make it an .ico file) when I do the same process, it does insert the graphic, however it is completely distorted. There is quite a bit of white area around the graphic. Basically what I want to do is to insert a video clip, and add a custom icon to it and cannot do this.

Marcella, what specific version of FM are you using (the "pxx" numbers from Help > About).

Also, what is the final destination format -- will you be creating a PDF from FrameMaker? HTML?
