Images Disappear

Hello,

I am new to FM and am using FM12.

What can cause this error "Cannot display some imported graphics.  The images will appear as gray boxes"?

All the images in the chapter would show gray boxes.  I have tried:

     -  closing FM and retarted  -> no help

     -  rebooted computer          ->no help

     -  the only way to get all the images back is to use the backup file and rename it.

How can I avoid this error?  I have run into these a few times now.

Right-click on the gray box and report the Object Properties.

The usual suspects are:

• File on cranky network drive.
• File not found (object deleted, renamed, or you moved the invoking .fm file)
• File format not supported by FM.
• Some feature of the file format not supported by FM.
• Graphics Filter for the format not found or damaged (re-install FM).
• On older FMs, format not reliably supported (like importing PDF into FM7 - works at import, goes irrevocably gray box some time later).
