Folks,
How to insert graphics in the Side-head of the Column layout?

Hi,
You can create a paragraph across all columns and sidehead area. (I do not know the exact option name.) Then insert your graphic in this paragraph with the anchoring position of the achored frame At Insertion Point. Then your graphic will be in the sidehead area. If it is too wide, then scale the graphic down. With ESC m p you can adjust the size of the anchored frame.
Then add another regular paragraph only in the regular column without sidehead for your text.
Or do the same with tables. Again a paragraph across all columns and sidehead. Insert a table with the width of the sidehead area. And in the table insert your graphic in an anchored frame. That's what I do.
Best regards
Winfried

If all that's needed is the graphic, the para (perhaps named Body.SH) that anchors it can be otherwise empty, and have a Pagination property of
⦿ Side Head
The AF itself probably wants to be:
Anchoring Position: Run into Paragraph
Alignment: Left
Gap: [0.0 pt]
This likely provides the top odds of it flowing as intended into various output formats.
Using the ⦿ Across all Columns and Side Heads property also works, and there ae multiple ways to keep the in-column text apparently in-column (idents, tabs, tables, AF-shoving, borderless Table), but output flow to various formats might be iffy.

Hi @Arvind5E6D and welcome to the community forums. How about anchoring the frame outside the column?

Barb, how does that flow to HTML/eBook vs. AF in SH para?
(asking because I have no guesses)

Hey Bob, I primarily output to PDF so I'm not sure. It does sound the the OP is outputting to PDF, based on their other post today.
