Thanks to all for your post. I'm located in the Central Florida area. I am very familiar with all of the job boards available on the internet (i.e. monster, dice, careerbuilder, indeed, simply hired, etc...). All of these job boards show employment opportunities for those that want to work at a company work site. However, what I am looking for is a little different. I am interested in working at my home office.
Therefore, what I am looking for is an agency that scouts for tech writing related jobs from companies nationally or internationally and then has tech witers like me on the pay roll to do the work at their home office. These type of job agencies do not seem to advertise at any of the popular job boards on the internet. I'm starting to think the only way one can find such an agency is through word of mouth.
I'm seeking to translate technical manuals written in English to Spanish from my house and also convert PDF or Word technical manuals to structured XML using FrameMaker. Does anyone out there know of a tech writer job agency that caters to such job opportunies for those that want to work from their house? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
