Hello,

I'm trying to create a hyperlink in FM that opens a specific worksheet in an Excel spreadsheet. The Excel spreadsheet is stored on a SharePoint site. I'm using the following syntax for my FM link:

message URL http://Path_To_Excel_File#Worksheet_Name!A1

(with the hash mark before the worksheet name and a bank symbol before the cell)

There are no spaces in my worksheet name.

The link opens the Excel spreadsheet, but does not open to the specific worksheet.

Oddly, I can get the link to work correctly from Word. However, when I create a PDF of the Word file, the link no longer opens to the specified worksheet.

Any ideas?

Because I have never created links like you are trying to do, this is may lead you nowhere.

The link works from the Word file. So, open the Word file, right-click the link and select Edit hyperlink. Copy the EXACT value of the URL.

Then use Acrobat to open the PDF file you created from your FrameMaker document. Select the link tool and select the hyperlink in question. You may have to right-click and select properties (I am just guessing here), and look at the URL that was created in the PDF. MAYBE you will see some difference that will lead to the change you need to do in the FM file.
