Import (File > Import > Formats) the Master pages at the book level to all selected files in the book.

Thanks so much for the info - that worked great. However I am still having a similar problem. I cannot apply all master pages to each page. If I select Format.>Master Page >Master Page Layout  then under the dialogue box no matter what combination I choose it does not apply the master page. I have to go to each page and apply it. What am I doing wrong?

You might have overrides (i.e. the text frames have been extended/shortened), additional graphic frames, etc. on your pages.

If you use Format > Page Layout > Master Page Usage option to force FM to use the newly imported Right/Left master pages and you're not seeing any changes, check to see what the pags called "Right" and "Left" actually contain and if they match what you were importing. These two pages are reserved names that FM uses automatically. If the imported Master pages that you wan to use have different names, then you have use the "Custom" option and apply it using the required specifications of Odd/Even, numbered or named master page.

I REALLY appreciate your help. Yes I do have overrides and additional

graphics. I am using the Format > Page Layout > Master Page Usage option.

That is the problem - whatever I choose in this it does not apply the master

pages I have selected.
