Hello,

(Framemaker version 9.0p196 on Windows XP Professional version 2002 SP3)

Does anyone also notice that, after activation of FM 9, the Save as PDF (Send for Review) is gone in the File menu ?
In the trial version it was there, now that we purchased the licence and activated the (previously) trial version of FM 9, I only have a Save as PDF command.
Is this normal ? How can I get it back ?
Any help greatly appreciated !

Best regards,
Chris Verhaegen

Chris,

Do you have the TCS Suite version of FM or standalone? Do you have a
full version of Acrobat installed (and which version)?

Chris,

This feature is available only in TCS version of FM and not in standalone FM.

Hi,

I was told twice that the Save as PDF (Send for Review) feature requires Acrobat 9 Pro and Tagged PDF. Apart from that it should work with Framemaker 9 without TCS.

Best regards

Chris,
"Save as Pdf(Send for review)" is one of the suite features in FrameMaker 9, which is available only when you have FrameMaker 9 installed through TCS 2 or FrameMaker 9(In trial).
To get it back you need to license it through suite serial key(if you have it). You need to deactivate(erase serial key) FM9 and activate it by giving Suite serial key.

Thanks guys, this helps me alot. It is indeed the only the Framemaker 9 licence we have, not the TCS licence.
I was just trying to avoid the extra step in Acrobat.
I wonder what other niceties the TCS licence offers vs. the normal FM9 ...

Regards & thanks

Hi Chris,

Following are the other suite features which are available in the FM9 with TCS.

1) Insert Adobe Captivate Demo/Edit with Adobe Captivate
2) Launch/Edit with RoboScreenCapture
3) Launch/Edit with Photoshop
4) Save as pdf(Send for review)
5) Start Meeting( launches the acrobat connect session)

Ravi

Hi,

I have TCS2. I do not have LAunch/Edit RoboCapture, Photoshop, or RoboHelp menu selections in FrameMaker. Any ideas how to turn on these? Of course, I can launch those apps separately.

Cheers,

Sean
