Newbie question: no italics in footnotes

First off, thanks to all who post help on the forums-- you have already helped me a great deal in getting started with FM!

I bought FM 8 (running 8.04 on XP via Parallels on my Macbook) in order to convert FM docs to HTML. Thanks to your help, I have solved most of the initial problems I have encountered. However, one issue that I have is that italics tags don't appear in the html version of my documents. This issue surfaces in the footnotes of the documents.

I'm using the save-as command on the file menu. My footnotes appear after the main text (which, for my purposes, is great) but, although things like small-caps tags appear when appropriate, italics seem to have disappeared.

I tried XML to see if the problem carried over and it did the same thing. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Why would this be particularly a problem in the footnotes? I do notice an asterisk by the name of other paragraph tags in the document. Does this mean that the styles like italics are turned on in those tags?

Thanks,
Jeremy

They come across when using MIF2Go, from omsys.com.
I assume it'd work on your system; there's a free eval version available.

Art,
Thanks for the referral to Mif2go. Well worth the price not to have to beat my head against the wall of Frame-to-HTML conversion.
