Using FrameMaker 16 (Windows 10): I have a large number of files in a FrameMaker book that have a numbered style with color set to white (so it's not visible on the page). I would like the numbered heading to appear in my TOC. The text appears but the numbering does not with the color set to white. When I change to color to black, the heading numbering appears in the TOC with the accompanying heading text just like I want it, but then it appears on the source page where we want it hidden. Solutions for this issue are greatly appreciated!
This was a bug that I thought was fixed—but I guess it wasn't. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/framemaker/framemaker-2020-pdf-bookmark-numbers-missing/m-p/11728258#M68704.
Summary from that thead:
When you use the default definition of White, FrameMaker inexplicably removes the paragraph number when you export to PDF. The solution is to create a new white color—I called mine NewWhite, but the name doesn't matter. Assign it to the heads and create the PDF.

For clarification: pdf bookmark output is where I need these heading numbers to appear. They appear in the TOC. Just not in my pdf bookmark output.

Thanks so much Barb! Works like a champ! A solution I probably never would have considered on my own. Been a FrameMaker user since 1996.
