Paragraph Designer TOC Autonumber

Hello ,

FM 11, W7.

I have created a document and added it to a book.

I have created a separate TOC, LOF and LOT. This is then imported as a Text Inset into my document.

I can format everything fine, but when I Update Book the formatting is removed from the TOC, LOF and LOT and hence also the Text Inset.

Am I doing anything wrong, or is there a way to format in Paragraph Designer so the tab is introduced?

Speculation … have you imported the Reference page from the ToC into the target document where you place the inset? I imagine that if you opted for "reformat using current document's catalogs", you made sure the ToC styles were present in the target.

Lazy way out … I've not run into this, because whenever I have enough content to need generated lists I duck the issue by setting up a book
