PDF was marked up with changes, now can I get it back into FM 10?

My client is a government agency that does not have FrameMaker (I use FM 10). So I sent them a PDF, which they promptly marked up...all 10 of them!

So my question is whether I can somehow get those changes back into FrameMaker without going through each one individually.

I am on Windows, using FrameMaker 10, Acrobat XI Professional.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer :-(.

Thanks in advance for helping.

Was it a Review PDF you sent out? If so and the source FM content hasn’t changed, you should be able to bring in the comments as conditional text into your FM doc.

I'm not sure what a Review PDF is. Would I have generated that when I created the PDF in FM?

Anyway, some of the reviewers actually corrected text within the doc so its not just comments.

I think you need the full Acrobat Distiller to create Review PDFs, sounds like you just have the “headless” version that comes with standalone FM.

IIRC, all changes to the PDF can be brought back into the FM source – check out the TCS Team blog posts for demos.

Jeff, could you give me a link to that? I can't seem to get very far.

Thanks!
