Hi all, using TCS2 on Windows 7, 64 bit. I am on FM v. 9.0p255
When I create a PDF of my FM docs/books, is there a setting I need to set to make sure the resulting PDFs are viewable in Adobe 7.1? This is per X request who does not use a recent version of Adobe to read PDFs and works on very locked-down PCs. My question applies to both Save As and Print, (as PDFs) since I sometimes do both, so I'd rather know the whole story before I get started...
Thanks,
Adriana
All versions of Distiller that I'm familiar with have a Compatibility
setting that determines how backward compatible the generated PDF is.
The exact location of the control varies a bit from version to
version, but it is there.
Just make sure you have it set 7 and you're good for your requester.
And if they can read the file, they can print it from whatever version
they're using.
What I don't know is whether, by selecting an antique version for
compatibility, you lose any current version features / fun

Thanks Art. I opened Distiller and found the compatibility settings - perfect. If anyone knows re. losing features/functions, please comment.
