Hello.
Recently the Publish to PDF routine has been including the paragraph tags in the PDF bookmarks list:
This is new behaviour and I'm hanged if I can find where to go to stop it. It's not in the .sts file setup, at least not that I can see.
Anybody have any ideas about this? I really don't want my PDF bookmarks looking like this.
Thanks in advance,
Bill

What version of FM? Is it happening if you try creating a PDF through the Print to Adobe PDF printer instance?

My bad. I'm using FM 17.0.2.431.
I did try the Save As PDF option, where it happened again. I was going to try the Print-to-PDF routine, but this is a massive document and it always takes at least 30 minutes to render a PDF that way. However, I'll give that a go.

Yes, that was the problem– the Include Paragraph Tags in Bookmark Text chckbox in the PDF Setup routine was indeed checked. I cannot figure out how it got that way, because I always use the Publish routine and there's not an option for that in the .sts file setup in the Publish routine Anyway, mystery solved. (I just hope that I reset a default property when I unchecked the box.) Thank you for your help!

btw - Save as PDF uses the same engine as the Publish to PDF does (in FM2022), so you'd be travelling the same path as before.

Since the two options you mentioned use the same engine, what's the difference between them? I got away from Save as PDF with the advent of FM2022 because the Publish-to routine seems speedier. (The document that's been giving me the most grief throughout this little ordeal contains 93 chapters and 476 pages, so the timeliness of creating PDFs out of this thing is paramount.)

As far as I can recall - nothing. I'm pretty sure there's an option to invoke the Distiller in the Publish route also (iirc).
