S1000D 2.3 XML Schemas for FM 10?

Hi,

Has anyone used Issue 2.3 or 3.0 schemas with Frame 10? 

I understand  the basics of what needs to be done and that I can download  older schemas and DTDs from s1000d.org, but I'm specifically looking for instructions on using Issue 2.3 or 3.0 schemas with FM10 or the feasibility of doing so.

Hi Matt,

The built-in S1000D support in FM10 is for Issue 4.0 only. In principle this could be adapted for any S1000D version. However the change of element and attribute names at Issue 4.0 means that the required changes are not trivial. The previous S1000D appliction pack for FrameMaker 7.2 supported Issue 2.2.1 and would be relatively simple to update for 2.3 or 3.0. The 2.2.1 beta can be downloaded here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4247.

As an alternative Mekon's Eclipse Create for S1000D provides full support for all S1000D versions.
