Searching for conditional text, not found, still get "some text uses only this tag"

Using FM 9.0 p.255 on XP

I want to delete all unused conditional tags from my document. In Find/Change, I search for Conditional Text, select one I think is obsolete, it is not found in the doc (and I've selected both Show All and Show Conditional Indicators in the Show/Hide dialog), but when I select that tag and click the garbage can, I get the "Delete Condition Tag" warning saying "Some text uses only this tag: <tag name>", with the options to either Make the Text Unconditional or Delete the Text.

I've had this occur before and can't figure out what the issue is. Am I overlooking something here?

Thanks for any help,

~~Gay

Gay,

Perhaps you've used it on a Master or Reference page? The regular FM find, won't show you these instances if you're searching on Body pages. The best way to find the context in which it is used is to search the MIF file either in a text editor or use Graham Wideman's Mifbrowse utility, available at:

Thank you, Arnis --

I don't know why it didn't occur to me to do as you suggest. It seems so obvious now; I need a vaca.

I'll check Master Pages and Reference Pages, and also in the MIF file. When I find it (and now I'm sure I will), I'll report back here and mark this as solved -- with thanks to you yet one more time
