Other SharePoint users, please advise: Is the file selection dialog reasonably responsive when you try to insert an image while working in a Frame doc? We have to establish whether this is a site-related problem.

We're using FM10 and a SharePoint CMS Connector for DITA work. We also use the Leximation DITA-FMx plugin.
The tree display in the CMS Connector is reasonably responsive for checkout and edit. But in FM, when I want to add a topicref to a map or a reltable, or insert an image, the dialogs for file selection are very unresponsive. Displaying the contents of a folder with a few dozen files can take minutes.
Is anyone else experiencing poor file access performance from within FM -- for example, when inserting image files or text insets, or adding chapters to a book?
Could it be our SharePoint setup? What steps can we take to troubleshoot this?
