Hi Christian:

To save files created in Fm 2017 to a format that Fm 10 can open, use File > Save As and change Save as Type from Document 2017 to MIF 2017.

As Barbara noted, saving as MIF will allow you to go back to previous FrameMaker versions, but if you are considering doing this regularly, it is cumbersome.

As with any application, if you have multiple editors, it's far better to get them all on the same version of FrameMaker.

Klare Antwort: Jein.

Direkt im FM10-Format speichern, geht nicht.

Du musst über das Zwischenformat MIF gehen. Dabei können dann aber Funktionalitäten aus FM11-FM2017 velorengehen.

Also einfach mal ausprobieren mit MIF2017 oder MIF7.0.

You should use "MIF 7.0" ONLY if you want to downgrade your documents to FrameMaker 7.

Please note, that MIF 7.0 is not Unicode compatible, and you will lose all characters outside the Windows 1252 codepage. Unicode support was introduced in FrameMaker 8.0.
