Structured Document appears to break its own structure on open inside FM 11.

Is it possible when I pull in a structured document into FM and export the element catalog to EDD that the document itself breaks its own structure? That appears to be what is happening. I am wondering if this is a common occurrence and if I simply need to modify the generated EDD to handle this case? I find it odd that a structured file doesn't adhere to its own defined structure when FM generates the EDD from the document itself. I did not create the structured document, it is given to me by and outside company so I really dont know anything about how it is created and whether or not the described scenario would make any sense.

Thanks in advance for any info. one can provide on this matter.

Gavin

Hi Gavin,

None of what you say makes any sense   Can you describe what you mean by "break its own structure"? I've certainly never seen anything like you describe, but I'm not entirely sure what you are describing. Does something weird happen upon EDD export or import?

Russ

Hello Russ -

You beat me to it...I was going to post a response to my question first thing this morning. Ok, I think somewhere along the line I must have deleted part of the EDD when I was editing it and did not know it. I was able to find out what was missing and then put it back and that fixed the document structure right away. So Sorry for the goofy question and once again thank you for taking the time. You and Alex and really helped me get started with all of this and I'm extremely grateful.

Gavin
