Any information that you can provide concerning the following error message will be appreciated:
Background:
We are working with the following version of Structured FrameMaker 11 Version: 11.0.0.380.
We are in the process of upgrading to Windows 11 and are performing testing on a virtual machine, which we access by remoting into it. This machine has Windows 11 and Amazon Corretto (X64) VERSION 21.0.1.12 deployed to it.
We produce financial factsheets that are created by importing an xml file into Structured FrameMaker, which converts the xml file into a set of formatted FrameMaker financial factsheet files. An application has been created that we launch from the FrameMaker menu that parses each of the FrameMaker financial factsheets into individual PDF files. There are groups of factsheets that are produced, ex, Fluctuating, Offshore, Money Market. The sets of Fluctuating factsheets and Offshore factsheets are parsing correctly. Only the sets of Money Market factsheets are throwing this error message.
I copied some of the Money Market FrameMaker factsheet files to my office laptop, which has Windows 10, and the parsing application is performing correctly, which leads me to believe that the issue is not with the FrameMaker files.
Because we are remoting into this virtual machine, I’m wondering whether this issue may have something to do with that?
Any information that can be provided will be appreciated.

The easiest solution might be to upgrade to the lastest version of FrameMaker, which is 2022. FrameMaker 2022 is the first version officially supported with Windows 11. You could download and install the trial version first to make sure that everything works with 2022.

Installing the lastest version of FrameMaker is not an option at this time. I will add that the moment when the error message displays is not consistent. When I launch the parsing application, sometimes the error message appears at the beginning, before any of the pdfs have been parsed. Other times, it will produce a pdf for the first factsheet, then it fails.

Your usage of FM in this context may be violating your license agreement - the FM Server version was created to run this way.

Rick (@frameexpert) is right...Fm 11 wasn't designed for Win11 and won't be supported by Adobe.
However, if you manage to get Fm11 up and running, you're using 11.0.0, the initial version of Fm11.
At a minimum, you should get the latest patch release for Fm 11. Those patches provide fixes for bugs/crashes, along with additional enhancements and functionality. I faithfully install all of them, as the patches are (almost) always better than the version they replace, at least if those of us in the Beta test them well!
I've not used v11 for over 10 years, so I don't know that last patch number.

Though it's most likely Win11 that's causing your issues, you can always reset your preferences (rename the prefs folder in your Roaming directory) to see if it helps.
