If I have the 2017 perpetual license (trial) version of FrameMaker, can I successfully share files back and forth with someone who has the subscription license version?

Thanks.

Yes. If you are both on 2017, no problems sharing files back and forth (beyond the normal missing fonts and linked graphics issues).

Avoid the missing font message by ensuring that you both have the required fonts installed, and if you link graphics, be sure that they are sent along with the .fm and .book files. If you are not using a shared drive, put your Fm docs in a project folder with a subfolder for all of the linked graphics. Then just zip the project folder and send it over.
