Hello,
I use symbol font in some of the chapter titles, but when I generate TOC I see the symbol font has been replaced by the normal font. For example, I have the greek letters delta-sigma ( basically, symbol font applied to D-S) in my chapter title, but in TOC I just see D-S; and the same is true for my chapter header.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks
Bupesh

Local font changes are not retrieved into the TOC (or other generated files).

To be retrieved into the TOC, the Symbol font has to be applied in the source paragraph through a character tag.

Hello,
I created a Symbol character tag, and also added an entry under WindowsToFrameFontAliases for the new character tag in the maker.ini file. I can see the Symbol in the TOC file and the header also.

Thanks,

Bupesh

Why did you need to add an entry to your maker.in file?
The WindowsToFrameFontAliases section is for handling font names - not tag names.

If the system's Symbol font was already available to you in FrameMaker (either for direct application to text in a hardcoded way, or for setting up a Symbol character style) then I don't understand why you had to make any changes to maker.ini.

Hello Dave,
Yes today I tried without modifying maker.ini, and it works.

Thanks
