Tables loose characters when exporting to PDF

New Here ,

When exporting FrameMaker Pages with tables into PDF, some cells do not show the characters anymore.

This happens only, when the cells have a shade and mostly when two or more cells are combined to one.

With Acrobat Professional I can select the shade as an object and remove it from the table. Now the characters appear UNDERNEATH the shade.

This means that when exporting the FrameMaker file to PDF the text gets covered by the cell shade.

Seems like a bug. Doe anyone know this problem?

Frame Maker 8.0p227 on Windows XP; did also appear with FM 7

Thanks

Do you have the Tagged PDF option enabled when you create the PDF? This is a known bug. Turn off this option

or print to a postscript file using the Adobe PDF printer instance and manually distill the reulting ps file.
