I installed the TCS 2 upgrade, but it failed to update Captivate 3 to 4.  I went back into the installer after rebooting and tried to run it again with just selecting Captivate.  The choice was to "install" Captivate.  On the following screens it said it was "Modifying..."   It prompted me to install Disk 2, worked for while saying "Currently installing...Adobe Captivate".   In the end, it got to the Finish screen and said "No product has been installed."

Do I need to uninstall Captivate 3?

I tried just running the Captivate 4 setup from Disk 2, but it didn't accept the TCS S/N.

I'm running Windows XP.

Here's is what I think happened.  TC1 I installed the entire set, including Robosouce Control.

TC2 I did not install Robosource, but the installer saw the TC1 Robosource 3.1 as the SAME program it needed to install for TC2, so whenever I went to install or update, Robosource was credited as being the primary entry, so I could never uninstall and reinstall the suite.

Once I uninstalled TC1 from the Control Panel, I was able to uninstall TC2, and it correctly listed Robosource as not installed.

Make sure you deactivate the software before you uninstall.

**Oh, when you call technical support, they have you download this "cleaner" script.  Well, it starts to run and then tells you that you need some Microsoft utility installed.
