Thrown to the wolves

I am on a contract that requires knowledge of Framemaker. I know enough to be dangerous... need help though. How do I insert text AFTER a table? I am using a document created by someone else and muddling my way through this.

Thanks a lot!

First thing you should do is to turn on the viewing of text symbols (View > Text Symbols, Borders, Rulers) so that you can see where FM is placing things.

The table is inserted with an anchoring point (looks like an upside down bold "T"). You need to place the cursor after immediately after this symbol and then you can start entering additional text:

Arnis' advice is correct, but sometimes the anchor is hidden behind the

table. This happens when the table is given a Space Above number that is

negative. In that case, you may have to put your your cursor in the line

above the table and arrow down one line to move your cursor to the line

holding the anchor point. If you then press the End key to be sure your

cursor is at the end of the line, you can begin adding text. (You may want

to hit Enter first, to start a new paragraph to hold your new text.

Thanks to both of you! It worked. I don't think I ever would have found that out on my own.

Thanks again.
