Hello. We have a new employee today and due to a glitch we were not able to get his TCS license before he started. We're stuck in a bureaucratic loop at the moment and I don't know how long before it is cleared. In the meantime, the new guy is sitting on his hands. I'm wondering if we can get him using the trial version until such time as the paper clears and we buy the license.
TWO QUESTIONS:
1) Is the trial version fully functional, or are there restrictions?
2) Can the trial version be initiated via a full install disk, or do I have to download the trial version from the Adobe Web site? (I have a full version disk sitting here; its license is used on anther machine.)

It is against the use of the license to use it as you desire.

Mike, that is not helpful at all.
My "desire" is to use the trial version for a short period of time, probably just a matter of days, until I am able to buy a license. Straight from the get-go my intention is to buy a license. Why would Adobe not want to enable me to do that?
Now if someone would care to actually read and understand the questions, I would be grateful for any assistance.

For anyone else wondering, I made some calls to Adobe and actually tested it, so it appears that:
(a) The trial version is fully functional (although my testing has been pretty limited so far), and
(b) you CAN run a trial version from the installation disk. At the end of the process you basically get to choose either REGISTER NOW or 30 DAY TRIAL.
Once the slowly grinding mill of our approval process has gone through (made worse by summer vacations), we'll be proud owners of two new licenses. In the meantime my people can get busy using the software.
This is a great example of how unrestricted trial versions are good for customers.
