Can anybody help me create PDF files in FM? I am coming back to FM after 6 years. I am not able to save FM files to PDF. I think my Adobe reader and fm setup is not setup correctly.
I installed FM 2022 recently on amazon workspace, tried to convert to a PDF using the File > Save as PDF option, but could not. I realized I did not have Adobe PDF printer loaded. So I downloaded Adobe PDF driver and loaded the driver using the guidelines provided here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/framemaker-discussions/framemaker-2020-can-t-find-pdf-printer-instanc...
I also followed the instructions from here to install the printer driver: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/add-pdf-printer-manually.html#manually-install-pdf-printer
Documents\*.pdf (Adobe PDF) Port was not showing when adding the printer, so followed the guidelines from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/unable-to-install-pdf-printer-certificate-revoked-port-unknown.ht...
The following location was not showing at my end "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat <version>\Acrobat\Xtras". I have Adobe Acrobat reader installed, I only see till C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat <version>\. I save the adobepdf folder at another location and called the inf file from there. I was able to add the Adobe Printer, but I am not able to convert to PDF format. Now I am also not able to convert word docs to PDF format.

Few issues here - installing FM on an AWS service is probably violating the license terms; it should be installed on your local machine's c:\ drive.
Next, all the PDF references in those instructions are for Acrobat Pro - not the Reader.
FM, when installed without Acrobat Pro, installs only a "headless" version required to print to PDF. The Save As & Publish to PDF routes now use a new non-Distiller PDF function.
I would contact the FM folks - see https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#framemaker

FatimaN: I installed FM 2022 recently on amazon workspace…
So this is a cloud instance of an x86-64 emulation? What version of Windows? Apart from possible licensing issues, this might be the first time anyone has reported trying to run FM on that particular emulation.
re: …File > Save as PDF option, but could not.
What happens when you try?
Did you also try Publish to PDF?

Yes, I did try. The issue was resolved by installing it on a local machine.
