I am unable to install the trial version of Acrobat that comes with the Technical Communication Suite. I have Windows 8.1. I've restarted my computer several times and disabled the virus protection but that did not solve the problem. I also tried running the acropro.msi several times but that did not work either. I get the following message:

This information does not apply to the Technical Communication Suite, which is where I am attempting to install Acrobat from - it applies to the Creative Suite.

Sounds like something may have gotten damaged in the download – try uninstalling everything, download it again to a temp folder on your c:\ drive & reinstall with Admin rights to your machine
