Unable to remove a heading tag

I thought this would be an easy fix, but no!

I tried re-tagging as a body/deleting; nothing works.

This tag follows my Mini TOC.  Thinking that the heading was somehow attached to the TOC, I removed the TOC, but the tag remains.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove this tag?

Thanks

What version of FM? Can you post a screenshot (use the Insert Photosicon in the web interface) to show us what you're talking about?

Hi Carol:

What tag name, exactly? (Note: in FrameMaker the terms Paragraph Format, Paragraph Tag and Paragraph Styles are synonyms and used interchangeably.)

A miniTOC is used to type up all occurrences of a specified heading. For example, you might want to list all of the Heading1s with their page numbers at the beginning of a chapter, and a miniTOC can do that for you. When you add the miniTOC, FrameMaker creates an new paragraph style for the new content using the following forumula:
original style name+MTOC.

For example, if you want to collect the Heading1s, they are typed up and assigned the style name Heading1MTOC. For your miniTOC to continue to work as you edit and update, you need to keep both of those styles in the FrameMaker document. If you no longer need the miniTOC, you can delete it and then you can go to the Paragraph catalog, click the trashcan icon on the top right, and delete Heading1MTOC to remove it from the file. To be thorough, you might also want to remove the MTOC reference page as well.
