Hi,
When I insert a new image via File | Import | File or Insert | Image, then I cannot undo this operation via the Undo icon or Edit | Undo.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a new file.
Insert a new image via File | Import | File or Insert | Image.
Then check, whether you can undo this operation.
When I do this, the command and the icon are grayed out.
Can anyone reproduce this? Or does this happen only on my PC?
Best regards
Winfried

Hi Winfried:
What version are you using? I can undo after importing an image with either command on Fm 16.0.1.817.

Hi Barb,
Thank you very much for checking this!
I have the same FM version. I do not know, why this happens.

Hi Winfried:
I don't either. There are so many things you can't undo in FrameMaker, but that doesn't appear to be the intent here.
Have a great weekend!

I've been having issues with the Undo command, too, although that's not one of them. In my case, sometimes when I Undo, instead of undoing only the last command I gave, FM undoes everything since the last save. It's an intermittent issue, too, which makes it all the more irritating. The only workaround so far is to use the Undo History panel and select the point I want to go back to. Assuming it's IN the history panel, which isn't always the case. It's peculiar and bloody annoying.
At any rate, try using the Undo History and see if that helps.

Hi Lin,
Thank you very much! I even did not know that there is a history panel.
I will check this in the next days, if there is anything striking.
Best regards

You're welcome.
View > Undo History (it's very far down the list)
or
Ctrl+K
