I am trying to create an informational text box for my document and can get white space for the left and right side of the text in the text box, but not top and bottom. Anyone know how I can do this? FM10
Thanks,
Cindy

If a single-cell table would serve for your text frame, you could set its inner margins individually, and also set vertical justification, and add or subtract margin space by the Table Cell properties of the paragraph format in the Paragraph Designer.

Yep, Space Above has no effect at top of column, which is what the top of a text box is.
For text boxes in anchored frames, I use a small spacing paragraph format, variously named Filler, Spacer, etc.
Point size 4, a text color that will be invisible at PDF rendering, and an autonumber format of:
Spacer:\<space>
so that it is visible during edit. Set Next Pgf to something useful, typically a centered format.
This little otherwise null paragraph finds itself used a lot.
