Hi all

I've been struggling with this all morning and think it's time to give up and ask for help.

(Btw there is a similar topic here: Creating Parts or Volumes in FM Book Files but it doesn't really help me much)

I want to have the following structure in my FM 12 book:

Some introductory files

SECTION 1  - Getting Started

     Chapter 1

     Chapter 2

     Chapter 3

SECTION 2 - Configuration

     Chapter 4

     Chapter 5 etc etc

I cannot get the section numbers (or in FM's case, are these Volume numbers?) to number sequentially. For some reason the first two are ok, but for Section 3 and 4 they still say Section 2.

Also, the chapter numbering has also now gone wonky.

I've hunted high and low but cannot work this out. I've added folders, thinking that this might help, but it doesn't.

This is my actual book structure:

The tags I'm using at present for the chapter titles and section/volume titles are:

<$chapnum>\t

and

Section <$volnum>\t

I am a fairly advanced FM user but have had limited exposure to building blocks etc - can anyone help please?!

Thanks

Laura

I've managed to do a work around  here by just entering "Section 1 - Getting Started" at the top of the referenced file, then just creating a SectionTitleTOC style in the TOC with a simple \t.

Feels a bit like cheating but it works 🙂
