What's driving the need to (I presume) print-to-.ps & Distill?

While that pathway is still available, the preferred pathways are
File » Publish » PDF, and
File » Save-as-PDF.

You can also activate or deactivate the setting to create the PDF via Distiller. I think that the zoom settings are ignored, when you create the PDF via Distiller.
