I am getting this message, "Cannot open for writing" when I try to save files in my book in FrameMaker 13 (Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2015). I have downloaded all updates.

How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Gina

Where are you trying to save them? Do you have enough rights to that location? Was this ever working or did it just suddenly occur?

I am trying to save files locally that I need to edit. I am able to save other FrameMaker files in other books with no problem, but this particular book was handed off to me from another writer (no longer here).

Is there a setting for write permissions anywhere?

This was actually a windows explorer issue, didn't realize read-only flags were enabled.
