I am using FrameMaker 2015 to create DITA 1.2 xml files
I am trying to create hotspots on images:
<imagemap><image href = "../Maps/_images/lifecycle_partition.png"
scale = "40" />
<area><shape>rect</shape>
<coords>2,0,53,59</coords>
<xref outputclass = "fm:" keyref = "access_control_policies">Access
control policies</xref></area></imagemap>
However, the image does not have a hotspot and the text "rect", "2,0,53,59" and "Access Control Policy" appears under the image.
The text appears on the Document View, PDF and HTML5 outputs.
When I try using the Hotspot mode in the graphic tools, I get a warning on save of:
Framemaker does not support DITA multiple graphic object in a single frame.
So, how do I create hotspots using FrameMaker DITA?

Hi All,
Even am facing this issue. Is there any link which clearly explains how to use image map. Oxygen explains Image map usage very clearly, unfortunately, the same is not in Adobe.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Sharada

I spoke to someone from FM Support: Apparently, FrameMaker 2015 does not support DITA Image Maps.
FM Support response:
I would like to inform you that FM 2015 doesn’t support Imagemap for DITA 1.2/1.3 topics, however FM 2017 started supporting Imagemap for one or more than one area’s.
Regards
You'll either have to do your own post processing, by using a third-party html editor, or upgrade to 2017. I've not had a chance to verify that it works correctly using FM2017.
