Editing font in an existing cross reference

How can I change the font from veranda to arial in an existing cross reference FrameMaker10 ?

Create a character tag that uses Arial (and set all other options to AsIs) and then apply this tag at the start of the cross-ref definition, e.g. "<myArial> see page <$pagenum>".
