This may help. I wrote it for my students a while back but the information is still valid in FrameMaker 2015:

https://www.rockymountaintraining.com/adobe-framemaker-9-deleting-empty-pages/

It sounds like it is the first scenario, but come back and let us know if this doesn't solve it for you.

I just re-read that post for the first time in a while. I need to add that you can select the files in the book window, right+click and set the Pagination for the entire book at one time. I'm guessing I wrote that to address a student question about working with individual chapters and did not address handling it at the book level.

I already tried your suggestions as explained in the article but unfortunately that did not solve my issue.

Ok, so we need more information to help. Start by opening one of the problem chapters and navigate to the first blank page.

  • What master page is it using? (Format > Page Layout > Master Page Usage)
  • What is the page number?
  • How many pages are being added when you save?
  • What is the text flow tag? (i.e., A, B... Click in the template frame to see the answer in the status bar)
  • What is Before Saving & Printing set to in Format > Page Layout > Pagination?
  • Where is the end of flow marker: §?
